A family-owned bakery, Breadsmith, consistently saw a strong CTR on its SMS campaigns and wanted to expand its database for its 20th Anniversary celebration. The store signage would complement the open house event. Through a digital scratch-and-win campaign, they increased their SMS database by 97.3%.

The Challenge
The company’s owner wanted to engage existing SMS subscribers and grow their database.

The Solution
Promoting the giveaway game through QR code signage in their 4 stores and across social media. The grand prize was 1 year of free bread. Other prizes included BOGO free and BOGO 1/2 offers, as well as free cookies. The game link was also sent to existing SMS subscribers, encouraging them to share it and sign up for the text club so they could play the game.
